Email Prayer Chain
Procedures
The E-mail Prayer Chain is a supplement, not a substitute, for the current Phone Prayer Chain. All prayer requests are phoned into the church office. Staff will then notify the Phone Chain (as presently done) and E Chain coordinators. I will then forward prayer requests to those on the E chain.
Exceptions
Timely, after church office hour requests may be E-mailed directly to me, don_freida@msn.com. During the times that I’m out of town and away from a computer, Roger Hawthorne will fill in to distribute prayers to the E-Chain.
Cautions
1) Unless a prayer need is for you or a member of your immediate family, PLEASE make sure that you have permission before phoning in the prayer request. 2) Please try to keep requests specific and brief. Specific, so that we may knowledgeably pray; brief because long prayers are often ignored. That said, I recognize there are circumstances when details are best kept vague due to sensitivity issues. 3) Please try state the desired outcome of the prayer request.
Prayer request example:
From August Smedley. His Aunt Hazel is having diagnostic tests for stomach pain on February 3rd. Please pray for diagnosis & treatment that will lead to healing and comfort. |
